R&S 66 Lesson
Each day, thousands of trees are cut or burned in the rainforests along the hot and steamy Amazon River. The people in that country are cutting, selling, burning, and building new roads and towns there irregardless of the potential loss to the whole world. Scientists and conservationists are worried, because the moisture that rises from the rainforest jungle affects our weather, the unusual plants that grow there cure many diseases, and the wild plants and animals will disappear from the earth forever. Are we making any headway in our fight to save the rainforests?
