Read & Spell 1-25

     A man entered the building early yesterday.  He walked slowly down the hall.  He knocked quietly on the last door.  No one answered.  The man politely knocked again.  This time, the door opened.

     “I have a message for you,” he said to the very surprised person inside.

This lesson has many adverbs.  An adverb describes the verb—it may tell how or when.  Many adverbs have “ly” endings.
