     The first day back from Christmas vacation a student signed her name on the attendance sheet, then waved her hand at the kitchen and said, “Only coffee for me today—no cookies.  I’m on a diet!” It was funny how all the ladies began patting their hips and joking.

     Somebody exclaimed, “None of my old clothes fit now!”
