     Mr. and Mrs. Thompson left their children in charge of a new babysitter, a retired lady named Bernice.  She was very efficient. . .

     The children were fed and put in their beds. The kitchen was swept; the toys were picked up.  The last movie was watched.  The dog was let out.

At last, the parents returned and she was paid.  “You’ll be needed again next Friday,” they said with a smile.
